Cookie Policy

Every cookie and browser storage entry Azno sets, who sets it, what it is for and how long it lasts — and what happens if you block it.

The short version

Azno sets one cookie of its own — the one that keeps you signed in — and, on the public website only, loads Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to tell us how the site is used. Nothing is used for advertising and nothing is sold. The product's own analytics work without cookies. A notice at the bottom of the screen says so the first time you visit; pressing Okay records that you have seen it.

By using Azno you accept the cookies listed here. If you would rather not have them, the honest answer is that Azno cannot keep you signed in without the first one, so please do not use the service — we would rather say that plainly than pretend a toggle changes it.

What we set

NameSet byPurposeLasts
accessTokenAzno (api.azno.app)Identifies your signed-in session to the API. HttpOnly and Secure: scripts cannot read it, and it is never used to follow you anywhere.Up to 7 days, or until you sign out
_gaGoogle Analytics (public site)A random id that lets Google Analytics count returning visitors to the marketing pages and the blog.2 years
_ga_7T1T0B99KHGoogle Analytics (public site)Keeps the state of the current visit (which pages, in what order) for the same purpose.2 years

Google Analytics is configured with advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation denied and analytics storage granted; IP addresses are not logged by Google Analytics 4. Google's own description of these cookies is at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Browser storage that is not a cookie

A few preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to Azno's servers:

  • azno.cookie-notice.v1 — the moment you pressed Okay on the cookie notice, so it is not shown again.
  • Advisor dock size and position, and voice (text-to-speech) settings.
  • If you install Azno on your phone, the browser caches the app shell and the offline page so it opens without a connection.

What we deliberately do not do

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies, ever, from anyone.
  • No cookies for the product's own analytics: visitors who are not signed in are counted with a random id that lives only in the browser tab's memory and is gone when the tab closes.
  • No device fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no social-media pixels.

Third parties you may meet

When you subscribe or buy a coin pack you are taken to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies there under its own policy; Azno never sees your card details. Links to other websites (for example in blog posts) lead to sites with their own cookie rules.

Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking accessToken means you cannot stay signed in; blocking the Google Analytics cookies changes nothing about how Azno works for you. Deleting local storage will show you the cookie notice again and reset the preferences above.

Changes and contact

When this list changes, the date at the top changes and the notice may be shown again. This policy is part of the Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@azno.app.
